People holding a valid passport from one of the following countries, are not required to get a visa for 90 days to travel to Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo:
• People with a valid passport form any EU or Schengen Treaty Member country.
• People with a valid passport from United States of America, Canada, Australia, New Zeeland.
• People who have a valid passport with valid visa to one of the Schengen Treaty member countries or to USA and UK. Visa must have been used at least once before arrival to Albania.

Please take note that visa requirements for certain countries may change from time to time. It is advisable that you check with us or directly with destination country’s Embassy in your country, before booking a tour.

You should be up to date on routine vaccinations while travelling to any destination in Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosova. You should have the same vaccination treatment as for traveling in the rest of Europe.

Traveling all around the Western Balkans is considered safe. To our opinion there is no difference if you are in Albania or Kosovo, in Montenegro or North Macedonia, as Balkans we are all very hospitable to foreigners, friendly, welcoming, and proud of our respective cultures.

Albania is ranked 49th on the Safest Countries List 2020, while North  Macedonia and Montenegro are rated respectively on 63d and 64th place.

Anyway, when you are alone our advice at Albania My Way is to not go around with large amounts of cash and not to leave your belongings unattended. The time that you will be with our staff you will be guarded and protected from any harm.

We have to advise you about our driving manners, which are a bit more chaotic than in most European countries.  Just try being cautious when crossing the roads double the time when at home will be safe enough.

Albania’ currency is Albanian Leke, ALL

North Macedonia’s currency is Denar, DEN

In Kosovo and Montenegro apart from Euro you can bring USD with you, which can be changed in banks or in small exchange offices anywhere in big cities. The other currencies will be more expensive to change in these countries so our advice will be you better prepare yourself with Euro or USD.

All Western Balkan is blessed with a Mediterranean  wonderful weather, although the diversity of its terrains create  huge differences, creating closed areas with which are pleasantly cool in summer and warm in winter.

Albania has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.

The climate of Kosovo is predominantly continental, resulting in warm summers and cold winters with Mediterranean and Alpine influences, average temperature within the country range from +30 °C  in summer to –10 °C in winter.

Montenegro has a Mediterranean climate on the coast, with alpine conditions in the mountains.

North Macedonia it is characterized with relatively cold and humid winters and warm and dry summers.
